S&P/NZX 50 Closed Higher by 1.01%, Lifted by Utilities

By the end of the trading session on 26 June 2024, the benchmark index S&P/NZX 50 ended higher by 1.01% and settled at 11,835.020.  Out of 11 sectors, 06 sectors closed higher along with the index.

Utilities and Energy were the top-gaining sector, gaining 1.81% and 1.36% respectively in their index values. Consumer Discretionary and Information Technology was the top-lossing sectors, lossing 2.17% and 2.10% respectively in their index values. 

Geneva Finance Limited (NZX: GFL) and PGG Wrighton Limited (NZX: PGW) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 27.50% and 6.37% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Synlait Milk Limited (NZX: SML) and Blis Technologies Limited (NZX: BLT) are the top-losing stocks and are declining by 15.79% and 10.53% in their stock prices.
