S&P/NZX 50 Closed Lower by 1.08%, Dragged down by Industrials

By the end of the trading session on 25 July 2024, the benchmark index S&P/NZX 50 ended lower by 1.08% and settled at 12,396.270. Out of 11 sectors, 09 sectors closed higher along with the index.

Utilities and Consumer Staples were the top-gaining sector, gaining 0.61% and 0.09% respectively in their index values. On the other hand, Industrials and Information Technology were the top-losing sectors, losing 2.65% and 2.31% respectively in their index values.

Trade Window Holdings Limited (NZX: TWL) and Paysauce Limited (NZX: PYS) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 15.89% and 8.70% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Marlin Global Limited (NZX: MLN) and Mainfreight Limited (NZX: MFT) are the top-losing stocks and are declining by 10.34% and 8.13% in their stock prices.
