S&P/NZX 50 Closed Lower by 0.82%, Dragged down by Energy

By the end of the trading session on 19 June 2024, the benchmark index S&P/NZX 50 ended lower by 0.82% and settled at 11,671.190.  Out of 11 sectors, 10 sectors closed lower along with the index.

Financial was the top-gaining sector, gaining 0.03% respectively in their index values. Energy and Industrials was the top-lossing sectors, lossing 3.10% and 1.33% respectively in their index values. 

New Talisman Gold Mines Limited (NZX: NTL) and Bremworth Limited (NZX: BRW) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 9.52% and 7.89% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Geneva Finance Limited (NZX: GFL) and Greenfern Industries Limited (NZX: GFI) are the top-losing stocks and are declining by 23.08% and 21.05% in their stock prices.
