S&P/NZX 50 Closed Higher by 2.06%, Lifted by Materials

By the end of the trading session on 14 August 2024, the benchmark index S&P/NZX 50 ended higher by 2.06% and settled at 12,572.530. All 11 sectors closed higher along with the index.

Materials and Utilities were the top-gaining sector, gaining 3.62% and 3.28% respectively in their index values.

KMD Brands Limited (NZX: KMD) and Scott Technology Limited (NZX: SCT) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 9.52% and 9.09% in their stock prices. On the other hand, Green Cross Health Limited (NZX: GXH) and Bremworth Limited (NZX: BRW) are the top-losing stocks and are declining by 4.88% and 4.88% in their stock prices.
