S&P/NZX 50 Closed Higher by 0.63%, Lifted by Consumer Staples

By the end of the trading session on 30 July 2024, the benchmark index S&P/NZX 50 ended higher by 0.63% and settled at 12,391.050. Out of 11 sectors, 08 sectors closed higher along with the index.

Consumer Staples and Healthcare were the top-gaining sector, gaining 3.10% and 1.28% respectively in their index values. On the other hand, Energy and Information Technology were the top-losing sectors, losing 0.67% and 0.34% respectively in their index values.

RTO Limited (NZX: RTO) and Greenfern Industries Limited (NZX: GFI) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 33.33% and 10.20% in their stock prices. On the other hand, New Talisman Gold Mines Limited (NZX: NTL) and Burger Fuel Group Limited (NZX: BFG) are the top-losing stocks and are declining by 5.26% and 4.84% in their stock prices.
