S&P/NZX 50 Closed Higher by 0.88%, Lifted by Healthcare

By the end of the trading session on 17 July 2024, the benchmark index S&P/NZX 50 ended higher by 0.88% and settled at 12,292.030. All 11 sectors closed higher along with the index.

Healthcare and Consumer Staples were the top-gaining sector, gaining 1.34% and 1.19% respectively in their index values.

Black Pearl Group Limited (NZX: BPG) and Greenfern Industries Limited (NZX: GFI) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 8.33% and 6.90% in their stock prices. On the other hand, RUA Bioscience Limited (NZX: RUA) and Bremworth Limited (NZX: BRW) are the top-losing stocks and are declining by 7.81% and 7.69% in their stock prices.
