Van Lanschot Kempen Acquires Organic Orchard in New Zealand

The Netherlands’ oldest independent wealth manager, Van Lanschot Kempen, has expanded its Oceania portfolio by acquiring the 62-hectare organic Gold Water Orchard in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, from veteran grower John Bostock. This purchase, facilitated through its Kempen SDG Farmland Fund, aligns with the fund’s focus on regenerative agriculture and sustainability. With assets under management of €457.4 million (NZ$821.6 million), the fund invests globally in farmland, emphasizing ecological and sustainable farming practices. This acquisition reflects Van Lanschot Kempen’s commitment to promoting environmentally responsible investment strategies while strengthening its presence in the Oceania region.
