TruScreen Launches Major Cervical Cancer Screening Rollout in Vietnam

TruScreen Group Limited (NZX/: TRU) has initiated a significant commercial deployment of its cervical cancer screening devices in Vietnam. The company's Vietnamese distributor, Gorton Health Services (GHS), ordered 10 TruScreen devices and 1,800 single-use sensors, valued at approximately NZ$100,000. This marks the first major order following TruScreen's approval on the Vietnamese Ministry of Health Technical List. GHS plans to place these devices in 64 key hospitals, targeting over 35 million women of screening age.

The rollout aims to enhance early detection and management of cervical cancer, significantly advancing TruScreen's market presence in Vietnam. CEO Marty Dilon expressed optimism about the impact of this deployment on the country's cervical cancer screening efforts, aligning with WHO targets. Further sales are expected to continue through 2024 and into 2025.
