Tourism Holdings Cuts 100 Jobs Amid Cost-Saving Measures

Dec 06, 2024

Tourism Holdings Limited (NZX: THL), the New Zealand Exchange-listed campervan company, has announced the elimination of approximately 100 roles, predominantly in Australia, as part of its cost-saving initiatives. The company aims to achieve $12 million in after-tax profit savings by the 2027 financial year, a plan first outlined at its annual meeting in October. Due to reduced demand in 2024, Tourism Holdings closed its Melbourne sub-assembly plant and revised production planning for 2025. These adjustments are part of a broader strategy to align operations with market conditions and improve profitability. Despite the challenges, the company remains committed to refining its operations to meet future growth objectives.
