Tatua Cooperative Sets Payout at $10.50/kgMS for 2024 Season

Tatua Co-operative Dairy Company Limited has announced a payout of $10.50 per kilogram of milksolids (kgMS) for the 2024 season. The 110-year-old company, based in Tatuanui near Morrinsville, operates a single processing site and serves 101 farmer-owners within an 11km radius. Tatua’s total earnings amounted to $12.20/kgMS, with the difference—equivalent to $26 million before tax—being retained for business reinvestment. The co-op specializes in niche products such as whipping cream, cooking cream, and sour cream. At the time of writing, Tatua remains a key player in the New Zealand dairy industry with a focus on premium and specialized dairy offerings.
