Synlait Milk in Talks to Restructure Debt Amid Recovery

Synlait Milk Limited (NZX: SML) has started discussions with its banking partners to renegotiate credit facilities as it continues its financial turnaround. The Canterbury-based dairy processor, once struggling with a highly leveraged balance sheet and a dispute with its major shareholder, The a2 Milk Company (NZX: ATM), is now showing significant improvement.

In the six months ending January 31, Synlait reported a net profit of $4.8 million, marking a return to profitability. Revenue also rose by 16%, reflecting stronger financial performance. At the time of writing, the company is focused on stabilizing its balance sheet and securing sustainable financing. With these efforts, Synlait aims to strengthen its financial foundation and ensure long-term stability, reinforcing investor confidence in its future prospects.
