Oregon Group Bounces Back to Profit with Higher Revenue and Carbon Credit Gains

Dec 18, 2024

Oregon Group, a major forestry and construction conglomerate, transformed its $107.3 million loss last year into a $921,804 profit for the year ending June 30, 2024. The turnaround was driven by a 14.5% increase in revenue, reaching $605.52 million, and a doubling of gains from carbon credits, which rose from $25.19 million to $50.37 million. As New Zealand's second-largest landowner, primarily in forests, its subsidiary Ernslaw One oversees 95,000 hectares of trees across the North and South Islands. This marks a significant recovery for Oregon Group, underpinned by strategic management of its resources.
