KiwiSaver Fees Lower Than Australia and UK Counterparts

Generate KiwiSaver's recent report, completed by Deloitte Australia, reveals that KiwiSaver fees on default funds in New Zealand are generally lower than those in Australia and the United Kingdom. The comparison found that fees for similar management styles and growth asset allocations are comparable between Australian and New Zealand providers.

However, for "Choice" funds, which are non-KiwiSaver options, the study noted a greater fee variation due to differences in asset allocations, management styles, and scale. Despite this, the report concluded that fees for these funds are approximately equivalent when accounting for these factors.
