Being AI CEO Steps Down as Director Amid Non-Trading Phase

Mar 10, 2025

Being AI Limited's (NZX: BAI) co-founder and CEO, David McDonald, resigned as a director last Friday while the company remains inactive in trading. Paul Forno, CEO of its logistics subsidiary Send_Global, will take on the role.

Despite stepping down as a director, McDonald will continue as CEO, focusing on the development of Project Treehouse. He stated that his decision was driven by his belief that he could no longer be effective in the director role but remained committed to leading the technology team. Being AI has been in a prolonged non-trading phase, with no updates on when operations might resume. The leadership adjustment comes as the company navigates its next steps in product development and strategy.
